"Yeah.... I don't see how this as diversity when these motors were OEM to this chassis at one point in time.
****, these days it seems like the SR is diverse to the growing V8 crowd. I would like to think diversity means a Ford Ecoboost or something cool.
I've owned a few CA motors. I've poured thousands of gallons of blood, sweat, and tears into maintaining one just to drive on the street. The one advantage a CA has over a SR is the iron block, allowing for gobs more amount of boost. That's it, everything else about this motor is poorly designed and nearly three decades old.
I don't mean to sound like a hater. Good for you if you can keep it running and do amazing things with it once in a while, but I bet you'll hate every second of your life. It's not too late to not go down that road."
^^ I have open ears and am not stubborn I hear what you are saying and that one comment is the main factor in my choice I wanted a motor that came factory turbo. and fit directly to the S-chassis which gave me two option the SR and CA. I choose the CA because It was way cheaper I had it shipped to my door from Pennsylvania with trans, wiring harness, ecu, ignitor, MAF, turbo and compression tested with 150 across all cylinders. for 1200 that was my selling point over a SR there to expensive plus if built right I have heard both ends that they never last or they run forever so I think it just depends on how its built and maintained no offense.
