Cool cool. Once the temp gets real cold over winter, you may find you'll have to give the car some throttle to keep it running until the engine warms up. Same with using the AC. But it's definitely cheaper than a new valve.

OR, if you're handy, just make a restrictor plate with about a 3/16" hole in it. If the idle ends up too low, make the hole bigger.

Considering this thing costs over $300 new from the dealer, you might want to just get a used one from eBay.

I completely forgot about this, sorry. The idle air control valve goes there. I have no idea how your car isn't idling at 5k with that wide open like that.

I'll look at mine when I get home from work. I also have a 325e.

The only real performance mod I've done to the car and for some reason I didn't bother documenting it. Prolly the heat and the stress. And I think I'm losing interest in the car to be honest.

Suspension is completely different than a 3 series, front and rear. Not even remotely the same. They almost look like they come from two completely different manufacturers. 5 series also uses a steering box versus a rack&pinion. Not saying you can't drift one, but you're not gonna be finding much drift-specific parts for it.

I'll be surprised if there's 20 drivers at the event I'm going to.

I know I should but I already got people coming to a different event, and it needs our support.
